Financial Assistance for Pet Medical Care

Below is a list of resources for those of you who are struggling to pay for your pet’s medical care.



The Pet Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides financial assistance to owners of domestic animals in the United States who need veterinary care. Their primary focus is non-basic, non-emergency care. For example, they assist with chronic conditions, cancer treatment, heart disease, endocrine disorders, and kidney disease.



The Mosby Foundation has several funds to assist pet owners. The General Medical Assistance Fund is meant for serious, time-sensitive medical situations where treatment is needed to prevent suffering or a life-threatening outcome (for example: obstruction, pyometra, severe injury, or other major illness).


They also have a senior dog fund, which reserves donations specifically for senior dogs so that they can live out the rest of their lives happy and healthy with their families.



Established in 2019, Help-A-Pet is a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance nationwide for the medical care of pets whose owners are unable to afford the expense.



Paws 4 A Cure is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance for urgent veterinary care treatment. They assist dog and cat pet parents who are unable to afford treatment costs for their dog or cat's illness or injury, regardless of breed, age, or diagnosis.



Offers a line of credit for all types of health care assistance (including veterinary care).



Offers online payment plans for veterinary bills.



A searchable database of free or low-cost pet services, like veterinary care and pet food pantries



This fund provides grants to assist with the cost of lifesaving or life-enhancing emergency or specialty care for pets whose families cannot afford the full cost of treatment.



This is a grant based 501(c)(3) organization that helps animals whose owners are struggling financially.



Provides financial assistance to low-income pet owners who cannot afford veterinary care. Each month, one pet owner is selected to receive assistance.

Provides financial assistance and resources for pets with life-threatening injuries or illnesses that require urgent treatment.



A crowdfunding platform dedicated to helping pet owners with essential veterinary treatment.
